 FINES:

Patrons will be able to check out if their fine is under $2.00.  A note will be placed on their account that they will have to take care of their fine the next time they come in.

OVERDUES AND LOST MATERIALS:

One (1) Week overdue – Patrons will receive a phone call or email from the library notifying them that they have overdue materials and that once their materials are two (2) weeks overdue Patrons will receive a postcard that states if materials are not brought back to the library and all fines paid to the library within seven (7) days from the date of the postcard then the items will be considered lost and Patron’s account will be sent to the County Attorney for collection which may result in either criminal or civil charges being filed against the Patron.

 DAMAGED ITEMS:

The day a Patron returns an item damaged to the library, the Patron will receive a phone call from the library.  The library will also mail the Patron a postcard notifying them of the damaged item, the amount that has been charged to Patron’s account and Patron’s option to bring in a new copy of the item or pay the cost of the replacement item within seven (7) days from the date of the postcard.  If at the end of the seven (7) days the Patron has not taken care of their account the library will turn the Patron’s account over to the County Attorney for collection which may result in either criminal or civil charges being filed against Patron.

 RETURNS:

All items, including books, audio books, and DVDS or BLURAYS may be returned to the book drop located at the circulation desk inside the library during regular operating hours.  Items needing to be returned after hours may be placed in the outside book drop. If you fail to return your items on time we will attempt to contact you one (1) week after they are overdue by telephone or email.   If the item is not returned after they become two (2) weeks overdue, you will receive a postcard that states if materials are not brought back to the library and all fines paid to the library within seven (7) days from the date of the postcard then the items will be considered lost and Patron’s account will be sent to the County Attorney for collection which may result in either criminal or civil charges being filed against the Patron. *

*Please be advised: It is your responsibility to keep up with your borrowed materials and return them in a timely manner. It is also important that you make us aware of any address or phone number changes so that we have the capability of contacting you about overdue materials. After any item borrowed from the library has failed to be returned for a period of three (3) weeks past the due date, and all attempts to contact you have been made, the item is considered stolen. Your account will be turned over to the County Attorney for collection which may result in either criminal or civil charges being filed against the Patron.
