If you are not a member it is easy to become one! Your membership is tax deductible and enables you to all of the wonderful benefits of being a ‘Friend of the Library’! If you have any questions please feel free to ask one of the members of the Friends of the Library or the Library staff.

The Hutchinson County Library is a community information hub where everyone can gather to learn, create and dream. The Friends of the Library seeks to preserve and enhance our libraries for generations today and tomorrow.

Through membership dues, contributions, and book sales, Friends of the Library has raised over $850,000 for the Hutchinson County Library. Virtually every penny donated to Friends of the Library directly supports:

  • Expanded book collections including books on tape, books in Spanish and large print books
  • Computer services for Internet access and document creation
  • Children and family programs such as the summer reading program, after school programs and family evening storytellers
  • Poetry workshops and author lectures
