Summer Reading Registration begins June 1st

June 9th  - Wild West Rehab will be visiting us from Amarillo.  We will get to learn about animal in our area and the dangers they face. We will hear stories of animal rescues and rehabilitation, and we will even get to meet some live animals!

June 16th  - We will meet Miss Kathleen, who will be sharing a program called “Wonderful Avians”. We will learn about the amazing world of birds and see and touch unusual feathers and nests.

June 23rd - We will be having a special guest from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department! AJ Meyer, our local Game Warden will teach us about animals that live in our area, what we can do to help them, and what we should do if we encounter a wild animal!   This week in DUMAS ONLY we will have several dogs from Amarillo Dog Obedience and Agility Training. They will be demonstrating some of the amazing things that agility dogs can do! You will be shocked to see how fast these dogs can move, how obedient they are, and how much fun they have!

June 30th  - We will get a special visit from the Amarillo Zoo! They will be bringing animals to Dumas for us to see, pet, and learn about. The animals can’t be away from the zoo all day, so this event will be ONLY IN DUMAS AT 4:00 pm.  We will still meet in Cactus and Sunray that day, and have special animal projects.
