Google Add-Ons: (from Canyon ISD – Google Road Trip Seminar)

To add more functionality to your documents, spreadsheets, and forms, you can install add-ons, tools built  by third-party developers for Google Docs, Forms, and Sheets. Once add-ons are installed, you can manage each one individually, and turn them on and off at any time. An overview of Add-Ons may be helpful.   Directions for managing Add-Ons will help with turning add-ons on and off as well as deleting them.

Table of Contents Add-On for Google Docs: The Table of Contents Add-On for Google Docs automatically creates a table of contents in a sidebar window which can be navigated by clicking on the links.

Translate Add-On for Google Docs: This add-on allows you quickly translate selected document text between several languages and reinsert it into the document.

(g)Math Add-On in Google Docs: Create graphs (including plotting points) and complex math directly from the sidebar in you Google Doc.  You can also use Speech to Math in Chrome to talk directly to g(Math) to create the expressions.

Formula Editor Add-On for Google Docs: Formula Editor lets you to easily type mathematical equations from the sidebar in your Google Doc.Formulas can be created either using the mathematics input box or by typing in their LaTeX representation. The result is then rendered as an image and inserted into your document.

EasyBib Add-On in Google Docs: Search for books, journals, and websites and format your citations using MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, and over 7K other styles, to create your Work Cited page all within your document.

Flubaroo Add-On for Google Sheets: Flubaroo helps you quickly grade and analyze online assignments and assessments, as well as mail scores to students.

Google Drive Apps:

Google Drive Apps are available through your Google Drive account.  Apps connected through Google Drive do not require a login since it logs you in with your Google account automatically.  Since Google Drive Apps are connected to your Google Drive, anything saved in the app will be accessible in Google Drive. Having files saved into Google Drive is a GREAT feature for classrooms since all files are in one location.

Twisted Wave:
This app is a full featured audio editor for creating and editing audio files.  Files can be stored in Google Drive if students login using their Google account.  Do not create a new account, but click on the blue “Sign In” icon.  Then choose the red icon, “Sign In with Google.” This will allow TwistedWave to save your audio files to your Google Drive. There is a “Log Off” icon in the top right of the TwistedWave screen.
